Bournemouth 3 Fulham 0

Andoni Iraola’s side sat top of the form guide as they welcomed Fulham to the Vitality Stadium. The man who was ear-marked to be the first manager to be sacked after eight games, had turned his fortunes in some style since then.

One of the reasons for their fine form is striker Dominic Solanke, who had netted 11 goals in his last 17 games for The Cherries. Prior to this, he had scored one less than this figure in 96 appearances in the Premier League.

Christie worked his magic down the right before picking out Solanke in the box. The striker got his shot away but a timely intervention by Tosin saw the effort deflect wide for a corner. Bournemouth were looking in confident mood.

Semenyo picked up the ball in the middle of the park, before spotting the run of Kluivert. He looked to get a shot away, with the goal at his mercy, but Tosin slid in to deflect the ball over the bar. The Fulham defender was frustrating The Cherries early on.

Alex Scott, a summer signing from Bristol City, went on a mazy run splitting the defence. He slipped the ball to Kluivert, who drilled it past Leno in the Fulham goal. It was no more than Iraola’s side had deserved in the game.

The Bournemouth midfielder has had the start to his career on the south coast blighted by injuries but he showed why they paid so much money for him with this assist. The Fulham keeper should have done better with Kluivert’s shot but had little time to react.

As the sides headed in at the interval, The Cherries will have felt they should have been ahead by more, but Fulham had offered little in reply at the other end of the pitch. You could see the anger and frustration on Marco Silva’s side as he looked like his parents had told him he was grounded for the entire summer.

Semenyo has caused many sides problems this season, with his silky dribbling in the final third. As he got into the box, Palhinha bundled him over and the referee pointed to the spot. The Fulham midfielder could have no complaints, as it was a clumsy challenge.

Solanke picked up the ball and sent the keeper the wrong way as he tucked it into the bottom corner of the goal. He scored his first senior hat trick in his last game and it didn’t look like the goals were going to dry up anytime soon.

Iraola was having to watch this one from the stands, but he was liking what he saw from his side. They were dominating this game and The Cottagers had no answer to their free-flowing attacking football from start to finish.

Bernd Leno then took centre stage as the pantomime villain. Already on a yellow card, as he looked to get the ball, he shoved the ball boy. The fans did not like what they saw, but the keeper saw the error of his ways and went back over and hugged the youngster while motioning to the fans he was sorry.

In added time, Brooks did well down the left and fed it into the path of Sinisterra. Outside of the box, he still had a lot to do but ran along the edge of the box before letting fly with a bullet of an effort that arrowed into the back of the net with Leno at full-stretch.

It was the cherry on the icing of the cake for Bournemouth and their manager applauded from the stands. His side were dominant and their own keeper had barely anything to do all game. Things are blossoming for Andoni Iraola and his side moved up to twelfth in the table.

Marco Silva will not be happy with what he saw from his Fulham side, they were passengers in the game from start to finish. They struggled with the attacking play of the hosts and never found a foothold in the game to cause The Cherries any problems.
